One of the important Gurudwaras in Kapurthala District, Gurudwara Shri Baoli Sahib is situated in the Dalla village of Kapurthala. Legend has it that Guru Arjan Dev Ji had visited dalla village for the marriage of his son Guru Hargobind Singh Ji. It s at that occasion that he started the digging work of the Gurudwara himself and later left the task to be completed by Bhai Sahlo Ji.

Another Gurudwara in Kapurthala that requires to be mentioned is the Gurudwara Shri Tahli Sahib in Kapurthala. The Gurudwara is situated in village Balehar Khanpur  on the Kapurthala Nakodar road. It is believed that Guru Hargobind Singh Ji is related to this Gurudwara. As per the legend, the people in the village were terrorized by a notorious lion. The villagers requested Guru Hargobind Singh to find a solution to this. Guru Hargobind Singh Ji visited the village, tied his horse to a Tahli tree and fought with the lion. The lion was killed in the duel , and the Gurudwara is situated at the same site where the incident took place.

Yet another Gurudwara in Kapurthala tha is a very important one. This gurudwara is related to Guru Arjan Dev ji, Guru hargobind Singh ji and Mata Damodri ji. This Gurudwara is located in dalla village of Kapurthala. It is here that Guru Hargobind Singh Ji was married to Mata Damodri Ji in the year 1604. This Gurudwara is also known as Gurudwara Mata Damodari Ji.

The State Gurudwara in Kapurthala

The State Gurudwara is a beautiful piece of architecture situated in the city of Kapurthala. It was built in the year 1915 and was a res sandstone structure. The beautiful red structure was built in indo-saracenic style of architecture. The Gurudwara was renovated and the color of the Gurudwara was changed to white. One of the other drawing features of the Gurudwara is the garden that provides elegance and beauty to it.
