Jagatjit Singh Palace

The palace draws great inspiration from the Palaces of Versailles and Fontainbleau. Built in Renaissance style, it was constructed in 1906 and was the result of the labor of French architect M. Elysee Palace

Yet another magnificent reminder of the architectural delights of Kapurthala, this palace is a very imposing structure. It was built by Maharaja Bikram Singh in 1862. The magnificent white building and its imposing façade is a treat to the eyes.

The Villa Buona Vista

A beautiful Villa situated on the banks of river Bein it was designed by J.O.S. Elmore and served as a hunting retreat for the maharaja. It was built in the year 1899.

Shalimar Garden is a beautiful and historic garden in Kapurthala. The entry to the garden is through a magnificent gate. The garden consists of a pond, a park and a library. One of the important features of the Shalimar Garden is the Shai Samadhs. These are memorials that have built in the memory of former rulers and their families. These beautifully carved memorials have filigree work on them. The chambers are made of red sandstone and house memorials of rulers like Maharaja Kharak Singh, Jagatjit Singh and Paramjit Singh.
